when i reference a com object by regsvr32 it then find it in the COM tab, it works ok. but when i reference a com object by referencing the .dll file i get this error in my C# application:

I need to be able to reference my com dll without making a registry entry.
how to do this?

I need to be able to reference my com dll without making a registry entry.
how to do this?
I'd use "tlbimp" at the VS command prompt to create an interop
assembly first. Then you can reference the interop only. You may find
(I can't remember off-hand) that you need the dll COM registered while
you do it, but once you have the interop assembly you're laughing (you
can forget about the COM after that).
