Vista problems and VS2008?

Can anyone tell me what kind of problems I am about to experience
with vista? I just bought a new laptop and I can't seem to get all my
drivers working for XP, so it seems like I have no choice but to go
to vista.
Thanks

I would be suprised if you will have more luck with Vista and drivers.
XP still has the most complete driver set.

I've been running Vista on my home development laptop with 2008 and I
haven't had any issues so far. It feels a bit sluggish compared to XP,
but I do have all the eye candy on. I quite like it to be honest.

I've only installed 2008 on it at the moment, has anyone tried
installing 2005 as well? It would be handy for work. I can rebuild it
if necessary, but would prefer not too.

I had 2005 and 2008 both installed on my previous laptop, and it
worked fine. I would be slightly more nervous of installing 2008 and
*then* 2005, mostly in terms of MSDN - that's the only place I've had
issues in the past. Perhaps install VS2005 but not the VS2005 version
of MSDN? (It would quite possibly be fine - just warning of a
*potential* issue!)

That would be fine. I'll give it a go this evening and report back if
anything untoward happens.

Actually the laptop came with vista, but i blew it all away to install
XP.
Then I ran into the issues of not finding drivers for much of the
hardware
devices, so I have no choice but to go back to the stock config which
is vista. I dont want to but I have no choice at this point.

John,

My experience has actually been quite nice. I'm running Vista with
VS.NET 2008 (Team Edition) and it works just fine. Haven't had any problems
(at install or run time).
