Amd's CodeAnalyst

Hi,
Im trying to speed up my app a bit by looking at where its spending its
time,
ive run Amd's CodeAnalyst but although it looks promising it doesnt seem
to give a high enough level of information, it identifies hotspots but
seems to have trouble specifying the function its in,
often it specifies a function name plus a HUGE offset
wich is obviously going past the end of that function.

im using viausal express 2005, (on an amd cpu ofc)
there doesnt seem to be any options to set debug information,
the codeanalyst does seem to pick up the debug symbols from the same
directory as the .exe.

has anyone had any success in geting this to work ?
I have managed to identify some functions that were called a lot and
cache the results, but theres some implicit operator that when I expand it
crashes the codeanalyst.

its also spending a lot of time in mscorlib but gives the symbol as
DllRegisterServerInternal+43856

theres probably lots of places I could save some instructions but unless
they are being called often enough its probably not worth it.

thanks
Colin =^.^=
