TableAdapter IsNull Parameter- Verified Bug - Now What???

Hi There,

I am encountering this bug

http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualS...dbackID=114548

What do i do about it?? Am I supposed to download a patch etc??
At the moment I have to edit the generated code. But of course if i change
the XSD then the ciode gets regenerated so i have to edit again.
Annoying at best.

Any thoughts??

Thanks

Richard

Richard,

Could you use VS.NET 2008 and target the .NET 2.0 framework? The VS.NET
2008 IDE will allow you to target the .NET 2.0 framework, and you can use
the designer which should have the issue resolved (which is indicated in the
bug listing).

Hi Nicholas

???

So the only solution is to upgrade Visual Studio?? That really sucks!

If you expected bug fixes to be included in the original purchase price you
should have gotten software from a vendor other than Microsoft.

And no one allows you to get bug fixes without upgrading, unless you're
willing to cherry-pick and maintain your own branch of backports in an
open-source project.

Really? And yet every other day I download patches from Microsoft Update?
What are these pathces for if not to fix bugs??

Clearly such fixes are bult into the purchase price.

I think you need to rethink that post.
