Comunicating with a Service

here lately been getting my hands wet with socket communication....

i want to talk to a service i wrote that is processing data (sql server
transactions)
using a client app.

im not sure the steps or who should be a host....

should the service have a listener thread listening for connections

any advice Welcome

DaveP,

I would set up a remoting host or a Windows Communications Foundation
host in your service. Then, you can just connect to your service and make
the appropriate method calls.
