C#.Net 2.0 get virtual directory path question

Hi,

In my C#.Net 2.0 web application, the web ServiceWeb application is running
on the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MyWeb folder.
I have another file server which store the files for downloading, through
the ServiceWeb.
Now I can access the file server's files through my web ServiceWeb.
However, I am wondering how do I know the path of a particular file in the
file server? in my C# application.
Thanks for help.

Are you referring to MapPath()?

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...y.mappath.aspx

Note that "~/somePath" can be used to get back to your app root, "/
somePath" gets back to the site root, else it is relative to the
current request folder (so if your request is in ~/some/sub/folder/
page.aspx, then asking for "another/level.txt" will get you the
physical path to ~/some/sub/folder/another/level.txt
