'Refreshing' drives from within C#

I am using some low level Win32 API functions (CreateFile, ReadFile,
etc) for writing an application that will change the Volume serial
number for either a Hard Drive or removable medium. Once the serial
number has been changed, I cannot readback the Volume Serial information
unless the drive is 'refreshed'

My question is, how do I do this from within C#. I cannot seem to find
a method that will accomplish this. I see that it is possible to do
this with the FileSystemInfo class, but I was wanting to find an API
function that would do this, if possible. Any ideas as to how and do this?

Thanks
Jim
