DataSet Designer vs. 2003 Component Item

Hello All,

I am a new user with V.S. 2005 and very frustrated with the Dataset
Designer Microsoft added and the Component Designer from V.S. 2003
that Microsoft nuked.

After falling in love with the ease at which Sql Server Objects
(Views, Stored Procedures and User Defined Functions etc.) could be
dropped on a new Component Item (V.S. 2003) and relevant code
stripped out and utilized (ie. connection, parameters, etc.) I have
been nothing but frustrated with the new DataSet Designer in V.S.
2005.

Has anyone else experienced this frustration and if so have you found
a decent work flow to get at the great dataAdapter, pararmeter, etc.
code the is automatically generated by microsoft without have to wade
through all the extraneous code created via the Dataset Designer tool?

Thanx.
