There isn't a way to do this, as the -r switch is a client-side switch,
not a server side switch. You will have to issue the list command and then
process the data returned to you appropriately.

Thanks for the response, but I don't understand it. My ftp server supports the command LIST -R <directory>. What I want to do is send the raw command
myself, but the Method property of the FtpWebRequest won't allow "LIST -R" as the help files states, "You can set Method to any command recognized by
the server and use the FtpWebRequest object to send the command. This works as expected only if the command does not require you to send data and the
server does not send data in response to the request."

So my question is, how can I send my own raw command to the ftp server and process the response? Does the FtpWebRequest not allow this?

Thanks!
