creating project from existing project in VSS

Hi,
I have a c# project in VSS 6.0D as projectv1 (v1 for version 1)
Projectv1 has five or six solutions and around 100 projects (including
setup projects).
I need to create the version 2 for the same project and need to some
modification for that version 2.
I need to rename all the solutions and create a project in vss as
projectv2.
For that i downloaded all the project to my local folder and renamed
solutions to version 2 and create a project in vss as projectv2 and
add all the files into vss.I didn't add the solution to vss from
visual studio(manually dragged all the files in VSS project from
windows explorer).
I'm getting lot of messages (warning) and the files r binded to
projectv1.
I'm using visual studion 2003.
I need clean and easy way to accomplish the above task.
Is it possible to do without editing solution, project files manually?
I'm new bie to VSS, so facing lot of problems.
I installed Visual studio express 2005 in my laptop, but don't have
VSS for that.
Is there any VSS software (free for personal use like Visual studio
express 2005) available for Visual studio express 2005, so that i can
try in my laptop?
I don't want to take risk in real environment.
I also need the easiest way to add solution to vss, now i'm dragging
file into vss project folder.
Kindly help me solve the problem.

Thanks,
Mani
