Request: Need Beta Testers for a new Visual Studio C# Code Browser

ken
We are looking for C# developers who use Visual Studio 2005 to help
test our new code browser, CodeSkipper.

Briefly, CodeSkipper is a code browser, implemented as a toolwindow
addin to Visual Studio, that allows you to navigate code more
efficiently and with greater clarity. With it you can navigate to
code elements quickly with the keyboard, see different slices of code
based on many criteria, dynamically view code as a hierarchy, keep
multiple contexts as you code, and even sort code by various
criteria.

You can find more information on the product's website, http://www.codeskipper.net.

If you are interested in participating, there is no registration
process, you can just download the product. But we would love any
feedback you could provide, either in our forums or via email.

If you aren't interested, we apologize for the spam. This is a one-
time posting only.

Thanks,

Ken Cooper

Yet the trial is already expired, and the URL to the forum is
incorrect (missing a .net tld)

So far, looking very professional... [ahem]

Plus the forum registration is fatally broken:
* breaks attempting to send e-mail
* kindly shows a full stack dump (inadvisable)
* fails to rollback, tying up the nick

If you are going to try and advertise software to professional devs,
you might want to make it look like it holds at least /some/ water.

Assuming it isn't just a harvester/trojan, I would still be interested
in taking a look at it... but so far, I'm not entirely impressed...

You and I have already discussed this offline, Marc, but to just ot
make clear to others: CodeSkipper's definitely not a harvester, just a
product in the infancy of its first beta. In retrospect we should have
probably done a broader private test first.

All the issues you mentioned should now be fixed.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Ken

Yes - I'll second this; Ken is addressing my issues. And I didn't mean
to sound overly grouchy ;-p I wouldn't have even mentioned things here
(since "beta"), but the forum had a few issues of its own.

I do actually look forward to putting the beta through its paces, and
wish Ken the best of luck with his product.

Marc
