Datasets and Recordsets - sorting

Always have problems explaining issues on these forums but here goes
(hope it makes some sense);

I have created a recordset via a MapObjects Geodataset and SearchLayer
function. The means by which I did this is not the significant issue
but what is important is that I have a RecordSet containing rows of
data from a database.

This Recordset is called APsRS.

This is unsorted (it cannot be in a sorted format at this stage) and I
need to sort it on a column so that I can loop thorugh the data in a
specific order.

I know that I can sort a DataSet and have done this in the past by
sorting into a datarow.

e.g.

DataRow[] apRows = dt.Tables[0].Select(null,"ColumnName ASC");

Then I can loop through the apRows.

The issue is that RecordSets are unsortable (as far as I understand)
and Datasets are.

How do I transform the RecordSet into a Dataset or is there a means of
sorting the RecordSet directly?

Cheers

Mark
