writing to notepad

Hi, Im using streamwriter to write to notepad or word. No problems
with this. Is it possible to write to either notpad or word, while
the
document is open, and the data to update as its written. At the
momment notepad has to be closed, saved and reopened to see the data.
Word doesnt allow me to write to it whilst its open.
Regards Robert

I ma not familiar with the API, but I am sure you can use either OCX or some
API other than stream writer to append to an open document

I have not look at the detail but you may want to take a look at

Not sure what you mean with "writing" to word or notepad using StreamWriter?
You can't write to word or notepad using this class. Word and Notepad are
applications Streamwriter is used to write/read to/from files!!

Mind to explain exactly what you are doing and what you are trying to
accomplish?

Willy.
