Hi,
I don't have much experience in c# .net, so please bear with me.
I would like to have some advice if possible.
the goal is
1. there are several user defined(maybe the existing common button
control can be imported and utilized) common controls(like toolbox,
e.g., box1, box2, box3, - would be better if they are shrinked shape,
will be all rectangular shape though, of the actual structured memeber
and each box may be used multiple times in the to-be-built structure)
within a certain part of the main window.
2. we want to drag and drop these controls into a sub area of the main
window to build up a structure using each controls as many times as we
want, like lego building. So this may not be exactly drag and drop...
maybe Copy and drop!
3. we want these controls to stick to each other when they are close
to each other right before dropping, (like winamp playlist box and
main player box that stick to each other when getting closer)
4. we want to have some sort of docking area for each control so it
won't connect arbitrarily..
based on the resultant structure, an xml file will be created, then
blah, blah, blah.
the user interface part seems to be the major thing for this task.
Now questions for each item.
1. - what kind of common control should I use for this customized
control container?
- maybe I can use common button contols into this container with
different images on the face?
2. what kind of common control should I use for the sub area where the
structure gets built?
3. I have no idea on this, any advice where to find some info on this?
4. I have no idea on this, any advice where to find some info on this?
Sorry if this is too much, but any comment would be very much
appreciated. In the mean time, I will search high and low for answer
fragments. :-)
thank you,
