I am trying to dock a form to the desktop like the taskbar is but I
have been unable to figure out how to do this. Can anyone help?

Thanks

The (native) API for doing this is SHAppBarMessage. Have a look at

I implemented the above solution and it works great, but now I find
that context menus and toolbar dropdowns are pushed to the outside of
the docked area. I tried manually calling the context menu but the
same happens.

As a test I created a user control to mimic the behaviour of the
context menu and that worked fine. Before I go ahead and code a
replacement context menu I thought i would ask to see if anyone has
any ideas.
