comctl32.dll - ImageList_* images

Hi all,

I am currently using the comctl32.dll function ImageList_BeginDrag (etal) to drag around an image on the screen. It all works fine except that the text written to the dragging image looks really bad (fuzzy, thick, etc) - the image inside the dragging image looks fine. The dragging image has been made somewhat transparent (not by me, but by the underlying ImageList support routines). I like the transparent look - but not when the text looks so bad.

Here is an example of what I am talking about (I have drawn a rectangle around the drag image to make it stand out.

My question is, does anyone know how to make the text look better? or how to make the image non-transparent? What I think I'd really like is to have a semi-transparent background and maybe image with non-transparent text in the dragging image (if that made sense).

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
-Brian
