why doesnt C# support edit and continue?

I don't understand why C# does not support edit and continue; I mean,
microsoft access and VB have had this for over a decade now??

Hi,

I think you misread the chart in that link. Edit and continue for C#
works fine on my machine.

C# has had Edit and Continue since its inception.

VB 6.0 had it, but VB.NET did NOT have it until VB.NET 2005.

Nope - C# didn't get it until VS 2005 either.

It was one of the widely requested features for VS 2005, despite some
of us disliking it on principle ;)
