Vista Patches for Visual Studio

Hi all:

I downloaded the 2 VS 2005 updates as documented on the Microsoft web site,
however when I try to install them I get a message:

"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package
exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to
verify that this is a valid Windows Installer Package"

I thought the download might have messed up so I tried downloading
again....no joy.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

John.

I'm presuming that you're referring to Service Pack 1? If so, you need to
run it as Administrator.
