Hi All,
I've just been severely bitten by not having a current Emergency
Recovery Disk for one of my Windows 2000 Servers. I know that I can
use the Windows Backup utility to create an ERD. However, I'd like to
write an application that creates the ERD files along with a registry
backup and places the files in a specified folder; not a floppy in
drive A. I then plan to have the application compress the files into
a zip file with a name like ERD-2006-12-15.Zip. I would run this
application from the scheduler and create a new zip file each night.
Using C# and .NET, are there classes that allow this type of
functionality? If so, where should I start looking? I'm very new to
C# and .NET and don't have much of a clue where to start.
Thanks for any pointers,
Steve
