What character encoding is usually used in Textboxes in the .Net Framework?
Well, all .NET strings (including those used in textboxes) are Unicode.
To be picky, they're UTF-16 (so characters not in the BMP are
represented as a surrogate pair) but you can effectively ignore the
encoding for the most part - encodings are really needed when
converting text data to/from binary data.
