I am not sure if this is the right group, but my question is related to
C#.
I have a report in which the second parameter is dependent on the first
one. Thru reporting services manager, I see that first dropdown box is
filled with correct values, I pick one value then it calls the stored
procedure and fills the second drop down box. So, everything is
working fine in manager.
My problem is that I am using report viewer. In report viewer, I have
added the following code
ddl.Attributes.Add("OnChange", "this.form.submit();return true");
This way, when user changes the first dropdown box, the page and
reloaded and at that point, I want to load the values of my second drop
down box. But the problem is that I don't know how to get the value of
my first dropdown box. I tried doing the FindControl, but since the
page is doing a reload, the control is not there. Or maybe I am
missing something.
State of my second control is HasOutstandingDependencies, and
ValidValues is null.
any idea?
