I am developing an app with VS2005/C#.NET which communicates with the user by
popping up "toast" messages. The "toast" object is a Form, which has the
TopMost property set true so that it is always visible. Just recently the
TopMost functionality has stopped working on my XP machine - other apps can
display over the top and hide the toast. Through experiment and some
occasional vague hints on the web, I get the impression that this may be
caused by IE7, which I recently installed. I should add that IE7 does not
have to be running for the problem to arise - any application will render on
top of the toast. However it works fine on PCs with IE6 on. Can this be
possible or am I hallucinating? Has anyone else experienced this, and, more
important, has anyone the faintest idea what to do about it?
