Creating a dockable form or pane in an MDI form

Hello,

i am looking for some advice on how to create a form or pane that is
dockable/undockable to the right side of an MDI parent form, while
allowing new
windows to be displayed "freely" on the right side of the MDI form
(i.e. undocked and movable).
I basically want to have a tree view on the left of the MDI form that
can be locked or free floating.
Thanks much

Farseer,

You can try to use a panel, than you can dock it inside that, with a spitter
you can even size it.

If i use a splitter in the MDI, that would mean that i could have free
form child windows on the right though, correct? i think any forms
opened in an mdi w/ a splitter automatically sizes to one of the panes.
