ServiceName in Services

I have created a service with an installer in Visual Studio 2005 C# and it
works just fine. The service simply runs a program with given parameters. I
now want to duplicate the service to enable it to run the program with
different parameters. Seems to me that I should be able to change the
installer to install the srvice with different names, so that when the
service starts it uses it name to provide the parameters to the program it
starts.
I can get the installer to sun a different named service, but the service
itself doesn't "know" its name - ServiceName is always blank in the service
though it is not in the Installer and I can see the service with the name
running in the service control manager.
So, I am up to the stage where I believe I cannot get the service to 'know'
its own name but can anyone confirm that is a true limitation to Visual
Studio C#.
