Datagrid, binding and rowfilter

P: n/a

I have three DataTables linked hierarchically (parent-child-grandchild) and
bound to three data grids as follows:

dsConeSys = ConeSysDataSet.GetTallyDataSet(studyID, assessmentID);

bsTree.DataSource = dsConeSys;
bsTree.DataMember = "Tree";
dgvTree.DataSource = bsTree;
bnTree.BindingSource = bsTree;

bsBranch.DataSource = bsTree;
bsBranch.DataMember = "TreeBranch"; // TreeBranch is a relation
dgvBranch.DataSource = bsBranch;
bnBranch.BindingSource = bsBranch;

bsTally.DataSource = bsBranch;
bsTally.DataMember = "BranchTally"; // BranchTally is a relation
dgvTally.DataSource = bsTally;
bnTally.BindingSource = bsTally;

where, the Tree-Branch-Tally DataTables represent the
parent-child-grandchild, bs* are binding sources, bn* are binding
navigators, dgv* are data grid views.

This all works fine, with the data in the three grids being nicely
synchronized. However, I want to be able to implement a RowFilter on the
Tally DataTable so only a subset of rows are displayed in the Tally grid. I
tried setting the RowFilter property on the Tally.DefaultView,

dsConeSys.Tally.DefaultView.RowFilter = "AssessmentID=0";

but that didn't work. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks in
