I think most if not all numeric data types allow a format string like
"C;(C);isnan"
The threeparts, delimited by semicolons are for postive (or all if there
isnt others), negative, and Nan values.
Give it a try.
Although if you are using C as a format specifier than this will be doing
the -. you will need to write a custom format string and set it to the
current NumberFormatInfo on the CultureInfo.CurrentCulture.
