Convert FULLCOLOR format to GREYLEVEL

Hello,
I am capturing the live images by using the camera U30DC.And I am
saving that images in the format of AX_IMAGE_FILE_TYPE_FULLCOLOR_BMP.
But I want to save the images in the format of
AX_IMAGE_FILE_TYPE_GREYLEVEL_BMP. When I use use
AX_IMAGE_FILE_TYPE_GREYLEVEL_BMP as a parameter in SaveFile function as
axAxAltairUVisionFramework1.SaveFile(images,
AxAltairUVisionFrameworkCtrl.TxAxImageFileFormat.A X_IMAGE_FILE_TYPE_GREYLEVEL_BMP).It
gives error like "Format error! File format should be FullColor! Save
file failed! ". Should I Write some another routine to convert my image
to graylevel? what will be the method to write it in graylevel?
Please help me in this problem.
