What kind of container? Check to see if it implements IContainer?

Type t = o.GetType().GetInterface("IContainer");

if (t == null) {
// Type does not implement IContainer.
} else {
// Type implements IContainer.
}

Type t = o.GetType().GetInterface("IContainer");

if (t == null) {
// Type does not implement IContainer.
} else {

}
That's quite a lot of work for:

if (o is IContainer)
{
...
}
