Assorted Errors when Loading Form in Design Mode

Hi,

I've just encountered a bunch of errors when loading a form in design mode.
These errors have not occured before and don't make sense to me. In
addition, none of my controls are displayed on the form. It's interesting
that the project builds OK and runs properly. I'm concerned that something
in the solution is corrupted. The errors are:

Duplicate declaration of member 'Font'
Duplicate declaration of member 'Location'
The variable 'Controls' is either undeclared or was never assigned.
The variable 'MenuItems is either undeclared or was never assigned.

Each message is repeated several times.

Has anyone seen this? If so, was there a solution?

Thanks,
Jim

I should have mentioned that this happened in VS 2003.
