Hello Mark,

This interface is defined in Configuration Management Application Block
£¨cmab) which can still be used in .NET 20 application. In
system.configuration, there is no upgraded or equaled interface of this
interface.

The configuration management application block has been replaced by the
enterprise library. Are you telling me there is no alternative solution
available in dotnet 2 and the new enterprise library?

There must be an alternative or it would have been migrated to the new
library.

Hello Mark,

The configuration management application block is not deployed with new
version of enterprise library (Enterprise Library for .NET Framework 2.0 -
January 2006).

In the Quick Start sample of this version, there is one named "Configration
migration" which use System.Configration to manage the config file, you may
take a look at to see if this can help resolve the problem.

Sincerely,

Luke Zhang
