create usercontrol that cannot get focus

I'm trying to create a user control which cannot get focus, but is enabled.
In VB6, I just set the CanGetFocus property to false, but I can't find the
..NET equivalent.
The .NET CanFocus property is ReadOnly.

You can prevent keyboard focus by setting the TabStop property to false.

You can prevent mouse focus by blocking mouse clicks. Add the following to
your user control:

const int WM_LBUTTONDOWN = 0x0201;
protected override void WndProc( ref Message m )
{
if ( m.Msg != WM_LBUTTONDOWN )
base.WndProc( ref m );
}
