how to resolve KBD869.dll virus

Has anyone ever had this virus before?

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\KBD869.dll

I can't delete it and no virus scanners can quarantine it or delete it.
I can't find the process associated with it to stop the process so it
wont let me delete it manualy.

From its name, I'd say it was some sort of keylogger...

Why can't you delete it? Have you tried running in safe mode...? Have you
scanned the Registry for its name?

Google knows nothing about "kbd869" or "kbd869.dll".

Please check your number and try again.

This is the right number. I copied the text straight from my norton and
the file does exist in my system32 directory.

If Norton saw it, then go to Nortons site and search for it there.

What are the properties for kbd869.dll ?

I checked my system32 directory and I don't have it.

I just don't know what to tell you.

Sorry

PS: try renaming it, reboot and see what happens.

Thanks anyways.. i tried looking for it on their site, but can't find

I suggest that you reread the message from Norton.
KBD869.dll may be the name of the file but I doubt that it is the name
of the virus/worm

I have seen Spyware in the past that kept on reinstalling itself with a
ramdomish name each time.
You needed to start up in Safe mode to delete the file, but that was
only part of the problem.
There were also some manual registry changes that were needed as well as
a few other files needing deletion.
Try running Norton again and this time looking at the Details.

Good Luck
