Help getting started on my project

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for any suggestions as to where I can go to look for
examples/information that would be relevant to a little project that I
am going to be starting on soon.

The app I'm trying to make is extremely simple. I want to take two
inputs from the user: a cell phone number, and a 160 character or less
message, and then it will send an SMS message to that cell phone number.

I think that if I could just maybe look at some code samples, or find a
good site where I could read up an stuff I'll need to watch out for,
I'll be well on my way to building it.

I'm not asking you to write it for me, but if you WANT to include some
code as to how you might do it, feel free. Thanks for your help in advance.
