displaying real password
on text box?

quoting the msdn example:
....
// Assign the asterisk to be the password character.
textBox1.PasswordChar = '*';
// Change all text entered to be lowercase.
textBox1.CharacterCasing = CharacterCasing.Lower;
....
(to be found if help called in designer, text box properties ->
PasswordChar :)

Then it is not a good example as passwords in all lower case are
easier to crack with brute force methods.
