SMTP Invalid Server Certificate

Hi everybody, hope someone can help me.
I have to send an authenticated mail message throught an ssl smtp
server using .net 1.1 framework libraries. The problem is that server
certificate is not valid, so when my app tries to connect, connection
fails and an httpexception is thrown. Obviously, I cannot change server
certificate. I set up outlook and when it logs on the server, it asks
me if I want to accept server certificate. Answering yes, I'm able to
send mail messages.

Does anyone knows how can I do the same thing with my app? Is there a
way to bypass server certificate validation?
