C# to monitor active directory

I'm writing a C# application to propagate user account information from
active directory to a 3rd party system. I know how to enumerate
directory entries, but I would like to be notified when directory
entries are created, modified, or removed. Is this posible? Perhaps
with WMI? Even a link in the right direction would be helpful.

Thanks,

Matthew Starensier
