Thanks for the repose but no, when opening the reports on the report server
you use an address like
http://localhost/reportserver which uses the local
default credentials. If you open the report server on a local LAN like
http://server/reportserver normally the system will use the local
credentials. But if you open the site on a remote server using
http://www.name.com/reportserver then the WebBrowser prompts the user for a
user name and password for the remote site. Since I am able to obtain the
local credentials when accessing the remote host via other methods I was
asking if there was a way of setting the credentials in the WebBrowser when
I set the URL.
Setting the URL is done "webBrowser1.Url = new Uri(<address>);".
I was looking for something along the lines of "webBrowser1.Credentials =
System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials;" but am unable to find it.

news:On**************@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... In the MS report viewer example
"Microsoft.Samples.ReportingServices.RSExplore r" they use the system
default credentials to get the list of reports on the report server.
The example them opens a WebBrowser to display the reports which prompts
the user for a user name and password in certain cases.
Logically if both the WebBrowser and the Report Explorer are using the
same URL to access the data and the default credentials work on one it
should work on the other.
So the question is how to you tell the WebBrowser to use the default
credentials?
