ADO.Net 2.0 - DbProviderFactory


MS have incorporated the abstract factory pattern to enable us to write
DB brand independent code but with this we have a completely new set of
abstract classes that look like the old IDB* interfaces and also if we
use DbFactory class to create various data-access components we are
limited to using default constructors.

To me this is a half-hearted effort.
