errorprovider question

Cyd
(I'm a newbie...)

I have an errorprovider for a form that is getting set/cleared on the
validating/validated events of various data entry fields on the form. I also
have a Cancel button on the form that clears the form when it is clicked.

If the cursor happens to be in a field that requires entry and the user
clicks the Cancel button, is there any way to recognize the click of the
Cancel button and clear the error provider from that validating event? Right
now the user would have to enter something in the field and get to an
optional field before canceling. I'd like to allow them to avoid that...

Thanks,
