How can I develop a .net application which has optional features? There
are many products out there, which give you the option of installing
certain features when installing the software. How can I make certain
features of my application optional (i.e. that you can choose whether to
install them, but the application also works if they are not installed,
but the feature is simply not accessible in the latter case).
I don't want to reinvent the wheel (I already have some Ideas how this
could be implemented e.g. treating the optional features as plugins and
loading the relevant assemblies which implement a certain interface at
runtime), so is there a typical way how to do it?
