Determining Mime Type

Hi

Is there a "concrete" way of determining the Mime type? I'm currently using
the registry as a source, however, what if the extension is not listed in
the registry?

Thanks
Kev

As far as I know, if the extension isn't listed in the registry, your
computer won't know the MIME type. It's like web downloads which have a
content type of application/octet-stream.
