asp:GridView, asp:HyperLinkField with c#

Hi there,
Can somebody point me to the right direction please?
I want to edit fields in sql, but instead of using:
<asp:CommandField ShowHeader="true" HeaderText="Edit"
ShowEditButton="true" />
i want to edit this data in DialogBox, so i think it should go like
this:
<asp:HyperLinkField NavigateUrl="javascript:myJavaScriptFunction()"
DataNavigateUrlFields="Field1">
but i don't know how to parse a parameter into my function.
Can somebody help me please....
