ignore/throw out output parameter

Double.TryParse has an output parameter "result". If I don't care about
the result, is there a better way to ignore it? The only way I know is
to create a dummy variable.

double dummy;
Double.TryParse(..., ..., ..., dummy);

If it's an "out" parameter, and there's no overload that doesn't
require it, then that's the only way. You have to supply a dummy
variable.
