Component class and Custom control

Hello!!

When you add an item you can select to add a component class or Custom
control or several other.

I know what a Custom control is but what is a component class?

Is it more or less the same as a custom control?

A componant is like a control without a visual interface, (or more
accurately controls are componants with a visual interface :
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...3b(VS.80).aspx )

Things like the timer and imagelist in the windows forms toolbox are
componants.
