ASP.NET does not have a logging component you are requesting, but Microsoft's
pattern & practices team have developed many application blocks (collectively
known as Enterprise Library). The block downloads include source code in
VB.NET and C#. This blocks can be extended to publish exception in SQL Server
or send emails etc. in case of Exception block usage is as simple as:

try
{
//code that can fail
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
ExceptionManager.Publish(ex);
}

You can control the settings for Exception block through Web.config file.
Download the block and start experimenting with it.
