I have Visual Studio.Net 2002 installed on my computer and now suddenly,
it won't launch, I can not repair it, and I am unable to uninstall it
either. When I try to uninstall it, or repair it, I get the error:
setup.exe
The parameter is incorrect.
How do I uninstall visual studio.net so that I can reinstall it.

I just discovered that if I open the project file itself, that visual
studio.net starts, but not when it tries to bring up the start page.
Roger
First, you can configure it to not bring up the start page as a temporary
stop-gap. Then, you may want to see what may have happened to your OS to
cause the problem. The start page is using Internet Explorer, and perhaps
you have some problem related to IE, such as a virus or worm on the system,
or some other internal system problem. Check for viruses, check your Event
Logs. See what comes up, and if you still need help, report back to us.

Well, I run a scan of both my virus software and anti-spam utilities
regularly and I rarely use windows these days as I mostly use Linux. I
kind of doubt that I have a virus, but I will check and see where to go
from there. Also, it is happening on more than one machine.

Ok, I fixed my problem. Something was wrong with Microsoft Windows
Script so I download version 5.6 and that cured the problem. This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics
