Issue with upgrade to .NET 2.0 using SQL Server 2000

Hey all . . .

We've just upgraded from .NETFX 1.1 to .NETFX 2.0 for our in-house
application, and now intermittenly, we are getting a
"Request for the permission of type
'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlClientPermission, System.Data,
Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'
failed."

when trying to run a select statement against the database via a SqlCommand
object programmatically. I've stepped through the code, and have verified
that the connection string never changes. Can anyone tell me what I'm
missing?
