Row Added, but DataSet unchanged - WHY ??

Please take a look at this, it should be easy to see what's wrong:
I always get FALSE on hasChanges but row count increments ! I can even see
the change in the visualizer !Does LoadDataRow using object really work ??

string connection = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" +
strDbPath + ";Persist Security Info=False";
string command = "Select * from " + ita;
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbDataAdapter adapter = new
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbDataAdapter(command, connection);
DataSet dsITA2 = new DataSet();
int numRows = adapter.Fill(dsITA2);
object[] val = new object[2];
val[0] = "foo" ;
val[1] = "foo2";
dsITA2.Tables[0].LoadDataRow(val, true);
int newNumRows= dsITA2.Tables[0].Rows.Count;
Console.WriteLine(" Does Row, Table & DataSet reflect change "
+ dsITA2.HasChanges());
