Source Control for vs pro

AMP
Where can I get a source control app that integrates with VS2005 Pro?
Free is always good.
Thanks
Mike

I've recently started using Subversion, which is fabulous:

There's "Ankh" which integrates it with VS2005, although I haven't used
that integration. You can use TortoiseSvn to integrate it with explorer
(which in some cases may be simpler).

One more vote for Vault, they are always making their product better, and
their support rocks! Check out their support response rate at
http://support.sourcegear.com .

I also use Subversion, which Jon suggested, and it is very good. What made
me go to Vault was that they have built-in seamless support for ASP.NET
apps, which need special version control handling (mainly I think the
IIS-based projects are the ones that need special handling). I think there
is a way to still host these projects on subversion (I think they call it
"the asp.net hack" or something like that). I just wanted support and
wanted to avoid data loss, so I went with Vault.

One thing to note is that the "ASP.NET hack" (which is due to ASP.NET
having problems with directories beginning with "." I believe, and
".svn" being the default admin directory for Subversion) is now
officially supported as part of 1.3, and Tortoise has support for it
built-in.

See http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trun...t-net-hack.txt
for more details.

(It's not an issue for me at the moment, so I haven't tried it, but
presumably it works reasonably well. How easy it is to use it only for
ASP.NET projects, I'm not sure...)
