found OnRenderItemCheck but where is OnRenderItemNotCheck

Making a radiocheck menuitem I found OnRenderItemCheck and that works OK.

But I have not been able to draw the unchecked circle to show the button is
not checked.

That is, if I have 3 radiochecked menu items I'd like two to display an
unchecked circle and one to show the circle with a dot in it.

I don't know how to display the circle without the dot.
Thanks for any help.
ps
I use the menuitem tag to indicate radiocheck. Is there another way?
